TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a Polysomnographer for travel assignments in various healthcare facilities. The Polysomnographer will perform sleep studies to diagnose and monitor patients with sleep disorders , ensuring accurate data collection and patient comfort throughout the testing process. This role requires technical expertise in sleep monitoring equipment, strong patient care skills, and adherence to regulatory standards .
Responsibilities- Conduct overnight, daytime, and home sleep studies as prescribed by physicians.
- Operate and maintain polysomnographic (PSG) and related monitoring equipment .
- Apply and adjust electrodes, sensors, and CPAP/BiPAP devices as needed.
- Monitor and record patient sleep patterns, respiratory functions, and other physiological data .
- Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports for physicians .
- Educate patients on sleep disorders, testing procedures, and treatment options .
- Ensure compliance with AASM, HIPAA, and facility protocols .
- Travel to various healthcare facilities for temporary assignments as needed.
- Education: Associates or Bachelors degree in Polysomnographic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or related field .
- Certification: RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in sleep studies .
- Skills: Strong technical knowledge of PSG equipment, patient care, and data interpretation .
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to take on travel assignments .
