The Firefighter/EMT performs customary duties related to fire protection, emergency medical services, hazardous materials response and emergency management. In addition to responding to fire and emergency medical incidents, the Firefighter/EMT responds to water and ice rescue emergencies. Individuals in this position perform routing maintenance of Department equipment and facilities. The Firefighter/EMT coordinates incident scene safety and may serve as incident commander until relieved.

High school diploma or equivalent Experience in structural fire fighting preferred State of Alaska Firefighter certification preferred State of Alaska EMT certification preferred Valid Alaska Driver's License preferred
