What You’ll Do
- Perform authorized moderate and high complexity laboratory testing in accordance with CLIA standards
- Follow established procedures for specimen handling, testing, analysis, and result reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation for patient results, quality control, calibrations, and maintenance
- Monitor test systems to ensure acceptable performance and take corrective action when needed
- Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate issues that may impact test accuracy or reporting
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and consistently produce high-quality, reliable work
- Communicate effectively with laboratory leadership and team members
- Work independently with minimal supervision while using sound judgment and decision-making
- Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and promote a culture of safety and accountability
What We’re Looking For
- Certification: ASCP (or equivalent) required
- Education: Degree appropriate for moderate/high complexity testing per CLIA regulations
- Experience: Laboratory experience preferred; strong technical competence expected
- Proven ability to work accurately, efficiently, and independently
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Frequent concentration and sustained attention to detail
- Regular exposure to blood, body fluids, and laboratory chemicals
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform fine hand/eye coordination tasks
- Standing, bending, and movement throughout the shift as needed
