Medical Laboratory Scientist I (Clinical)

Overview
The Client is an industry-leading company providing diagnostic information services. This role offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art laboratory instrumentation and contribute to high-complexity clinical testing. Youll be part of a team that supports patient care through accurate and timely lab results.

Responsibilities:

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, test analyses, reporting, and record maintenance.
  
• Maintain records demonstrating proficiency testing is performed consistently with patient specimen testing.
  
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures.
  
• Review and release test results.
  
• Adhere to CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines.
  
• Follow established policies when test systems deviate from acceptable performance levels.
  
• Identify and resolve issues affecting test performance or result reporting, or escalate to senior staff.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree required; Chemistry or Biochemistry strongly preferred.
  
• 1 year of clinical experience in high-complexity testing.
