Job Description


Looking for a Phlebotomist that will be responsible for using their medical knowledge to take blood samples from guests/residents. Their duties include preparing the testing area with the proper tools, explaining to the resident the process when inserting needles and retrieving samples and labeling samples.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing residents before drawing blood.
  • Explaining blood draw procedures to residents and answering any questions about the process.
  • Following all health and safety protocols and procedures to maintain sanitary work areas.
  • Gathering medical testing materials, including needles, sample vials, blood storage bags and test tubes.
  • Verifying residents' information and labeling blood samples properly.
  • Accurately updating resident information in the organization's database.
  • Helping nervous or frightened residents remain calm during blood draws.

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate/GED.
  • Professional certification in phlebotomy from a recognized program.
  • Licensed Phlebotomist.
