• Scrutinize test results for precision, troubleshoot potential discrepancies, and carry out preventative care and calibration of lab instruments.
• Engage in specimen collection and prepare samples for a variety of tests when necessary.
• Thoroughly document each procedure, offer guidance to new staff or students, and consistently uphold high-quality lab standards.
• Ensure a safe and tidy workspace, complying with all regulatory and accreditation policies.

Education Required

• Possess a Bachelors degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health qualification, accompanied by ASCP or AMT certification preparation.

Required Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within one year of employment.
• Maintain certification status throughout the duration of employment.
