Position Overview:

Performs clinical laboratory testing in all areas including chemistry, coagulation, hematology, urinalysis, microbiology, serology, and transfusion services. Provides functional guidance to Client Service Coordinator and Phlebotomists regarding specimen collection criteria and result reporting. Participates in quality control, preventative maintenance, quality assurance and proficiency testing activities. Evaluates test results for validity prior to result reporting. Avail for Fri, Sat, & Sun night shifts.

Job Description :

Education Requirement : Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or related field

Experience Requirement : 1 year internship or 1 year experience as Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Laboratory Technologist or closely related.

Alternate Education and Experience Requirement : N/A

Specific Requirements:

PLL based lab information systems.

Accepted laboratory practices and procedures including proper procurement of specimens, handling and disposing of potentially infectious material.

Laboratory quality control principles and criteria.

Analytical problem solving by applying scientific principles to clinical situations.

CA Clinical Lab Scientist License

RATE OF PAY: $58.49 to $64.54 per hour
