Job Summary
We a re seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Laboratory Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods meet all required specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory work, particularly in a manufacturing quality control setting, and be committed to upholding strict safety and quality procedures.
Job Description
- Perform analytical and physical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Inspect incoming raw materials and process samples to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including SAP transactions and documentation related to laboratory testing.
- Communicate effectively with production personnel, maintenance staff, shipping/receiving teams, and other QA team members regarding quality-related issues.
- Work closely with process engineers and supply chain staff to support product quality and process improvements.
- Follow all lab safety protocols, especially when working with acids and common laboratory equipment.
- Interpret and follow written procedures with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Skills Required
- Previous experience in a manufacturing quality control laboratory is required.
- Proficiency in computer systems and data entry; experience with SAP is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- High attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Education
- College-level coursework in Chemistry or a related scientific field preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Shift: First Shift, Friday thru Monday, 4 ten-hour days, 7:00 am until 5:30pm
Pay Rate
- $21 per hour
