Scientific Laboratory Technician

**Essential Duties/Responsibilities:**

+ Rigorous precision in following standard protocols in adherence with a tightly defined schedule

+ Ability to work closely with others as part of a team

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Strong initiative and drive for self-development

+ A passion for science and willingness to learn

+ Conduct experiments utilizing standardized test methods

+ Maintain concise and accurate records of laboratory experiments and other documentation in Electronic Lab Notebook system.

+ Keep Engineers and Scientists well informed of project status and results of laboratory investigations

+ Prepare samples and track documentation for stability, micro-challenge, toxicological, clinical, and performance testing.

+ Follow general lab safety guidelines and maintain a clean, orderly work area

+ Operate laboratory test equipment in a Chemistry laboratory.

**Top 5 Required Skills** :

+ 2+ years in a laboratory setting

+ Ability to operate laboratory testing equipment in a Chemistry Laboratory

+ Ability to write reports and recommendations based on lab results.

+ Ability to maintain concise and accurate records of laboratory experiments and other documentation in Electronic Lab Notebook system.

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to rigorously follow lab protocols.

**Technology Proficiencies** :

+ Microsoft Office products (Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)

**Preferred Attributes** :

+ Understanding of the functional properties, proper use, and the environmental impact of ingredients

+ Possess an understanding of regulatory processes, i.e., EPA registrations; experience

+ Design of Experiments or Statistical analysis skills

+ Scientific curiosity and the ability to solve technical problems related to packaging, formulation and manufacturing

**Physical Demands:**

+ ABILITY TO LIFT 10-40 lbs.

+ Must be able to evaluate visual criteria accurately and consistently against a standard scale.

**Required Education** :

+ Associates Degree in a technical field (Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, etc.)
