Perioperative Technician-Anesthesiology

40 hours per week. 4 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, Day Shift, Hours will vary from 6am-11:30pm.

40 hours per week. 5 8-hour shifts

Occasional weekends, holiday, and call

Job Description Summary:

Performs a variety of technical and supportive tasks to assist daily clinical operations. Performs routine and delegated duties according to departmental policies.

Essential Functions:

Prepares operating rooms for surgery by cleaning and sterilizing equipment and surfaces.

Assists surgical team with use of instruments and supplies.

Maintains inventory of surgical supplies and equipment.

Assists clinical staff with transferring and positioning patients as needed.

Education Requirement:

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

Licensure Requirement:

Certifications:

BLS Certification, preferred.

Skills:

Basic understanding of mechanical equipment.

Self-starter who requires little or no supervision.

Ability torespond appropriately tolife threatening situations.

Effective multitasking, interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills

Ability to workunder pressure in a stressful environment.

Working knowledge of supply chain ormaterials management.

Working knowledge of surgical and anesthesia procedures.

Experience:

Previous health care experience, preferred.
