Performs Echocardiograms, assists with TEEs, and stress echocardiograms. Rotating call (typically 1 day a week and weekend coverage every 4th-5th weekend).

A Brief OverviewPerforms ECG services; Holter monitor analysis and report generation; cardiac event monitor set up; ambulatory blood pressure monitoring; Cardiac Stress Testing. Outreach responsibilities include Holter and Cardiac Event monitor.
What you will do
- Performs ECGs, explains procedure to patient, uses proper electrode placement, obtains good tracing, and becomes super user for EKG software system, including matching orders to exams, fixing incorrect exams, and being a resource for outreach facilities.
- Performs Holter Monitor duties, verifies orders, educates patient on the use of Holter monitor and diary, hookup with proper lead placement, scans Holter monitors and compiles test for physician interpretation. Supports outreach Holter monitor service, hookup and enrollment of Event Monitor patients.
- Performs Stress Testing technical duties using proper electrode placement and equipment set up. Documents ongoing patient assessment.
- Performs Ambulatory Blood pressure monitoring, runs reports, and delivers to reading physician.
- Notifies appropriate physician when test results indicate immediate intervention is a necessary condition.
- Carries out appropriate billing procedures.
- Assists with orientation and on the job training.
- Transports patients (via wheelchair, stretcher or as an escort when the patient is ambulatory) to and from clinical, ancillary and support department areas. Transfers patients, from wheelchair or stretcher, to procedure room carts.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within 1 Year
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer - American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) within 1 Year
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- patient care experience with a strong knowledge of cardiac rhythms
