We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our dynamic laboratory team in Ohio. As a Medical Technologist, you will perform essential laboratory tests that support the diagnosis, treatment, and care of our patients. Working with a team of healthcare professionals, you will use state-of-the-art equipment to ensure accurate and timely results. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and other diagnostic areas.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and quality control procedures.
- Analyze test results, document findings, and communicate results to physicians and healthcare teams.
- Prepare specimens and reagents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with laboratory instruments or procedures.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, including infection control and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Participate in quality assurance activities, including proficiency testing and audits.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in medical technology or a related field.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or an equivalent certification.
- Valid state licensure (if required in Ohio).
- 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Technologist preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory testing methods and diagnostic procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions based on lab results.
