Job Summary and Qualifications Under the supervision and direction of the surgeon and RN, the position provides support to all areas of the operating room department. The Scrub Tech II is expected to adhere to applicable Lewis-Gale Medical Center policies and procedures and to LewisGale Medical Center value statements and commitment to excellence standards.

• High School Graduate/Equivalent Nursing Required
• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program. Required
• 3+ years of experience in Surgical Technology Preferred Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience Licenses, Certifications, & Training
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Required
• Certified Surgical Technician Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors
• Knowledge of medical equipment. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment. Establishing & maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff & the public. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to communicate clearly. Required
