Provides Accurate Sleep/EEG/EKG Pattern Recognition and Effective Treatment protocol to patients and physicians. Completes Administrative Tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations within established guidelines. Demonstrates Teamwork and Effective Work Behavior to facilitate smooth delivery of sleep services to all hospital department and patient customers. Requirements: Minimum 1-2 years? prior work experience in Sleep Disorders. Additional work experience in Respiratory Care and/or EEG Testing required. Both Digital and Analog equipment experience preferred. Current BCLS certification required. Registry eligible or Registered R.PSGT Technologists preferred. Education Requirements: High School graduate plus completion of Polysomnography workshops, courses, seminars and/or comparable experience in an EEG/Respiratory and/or Sleep Disorders Laboratory. Some college or Allied Health course work with EEG or Sleep Laboratory experience preferred.

Job Title: SLEEP LAB TECH II Company: Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital Location: Roanoke, VA Description: SLEEP LAB TECH II CARILION SLEEP CENTER Full-time Weds-Fri, 3-12+ hour shifts, 7P-7:30A Location: This position is located in Roanoke, VA. Basic Functions: Works under the general supervision of the of the Medical Director (MD), sleep center physician, or physician?s assistant to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of a sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. Will perform all aspects of a registered sleep tech, including set up, running voernight sleep studies, PAP titration and scoring. Education:Successful completion of a polysomnography program, of no less than one year duration, associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility.
