Communicates with ordering physician regarding unclear or inappropriate order or changes in the patients condition.2.* Sets up and calibrates equipment under the supervision of an RPGSTa. Prior to patient arrival prepares electrodes and other equipment required for application. Sets up acquisition system, checks all amplifiers, filters and sensitivities.b. After patient arrives, measures appropriate EEG electrode placements using international 1020 system and correctly places all of the monitoring equipment (EOG, EKG, EMG, Air Flow).c. Securely attaches all equipment and verifies correct impedance and calibrations.d. Performs any corrective action to assure proper calibrations.3.* Monitors procedure, documents events and communicates observations under the supervision of an RPGSTa. During recording, recognizes abnormal conditions such as seizure, desaturations, arrhythmias and takes appropriate actions.b. Recognizes and corrects any tracing artifacts.c. Annotates appropriate information to patient record every 15 minutes, as well as maintaining manual log of events.d.
