The Phlebotomist will perform all phlebotomy procedures according to laboratory protocol in compliance with the requirements set forth in the Federal Register and the State of California Personnel Code of Regulations. Phlebotomy will be performed so as to assure specimen integrity throughout the throughout testing phase. The incumbent will also perform reception duties, greet and direct patients, order test utilizing the laboratory information system and will look up results, distribute reports. Will also process specimens. Must be able to cover some weekend and holiday hours. Sutter Gould Medical Foundation (SGMF)is a non-profit, multi-specialty health care organization affiliated with Sutter Health. Position requires standing on your feet most the day. The position requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to effectively perform phlebotomy and to operate computer systems. Must be able to perform lifting, pulling, and/or carrying of objects, also, stooping climbing, and kneeling on an occasional basis. On a constant basis, must be able to walk, stand, or sit, bend, twist, reach, perform simple grasping and fine manipulation.
