Accountability: The Paramedic Specialist reports to the Lead Nurse and Clinical Nurse Manager. IV. Qualifications: * High School Diploma or equivalent * Nationally Registered Paramedic Certification and Oklahoma State Licensure at the Paramedic Level * Associates degree in Para-medicine, Pre-hospital Medicine or related degree preferred * 2 years of 911 EMS experience; 1 year of 911 EMS Paramedic experience and one year critical care transport experience strongly preferred * Current ACLS certification required with PALS and PHTLS strongly preferred * Must pass Paramedic Skills knowledge assessment test with a score of at least 80% * Must be able to communicate effectively in English Canadian Valley Regional Hospital only: * Successful completion and documentation of initial certification for the CCEMT-P national certification sponsored by the University of Baltimore Maryland County preferred.
