Liberty Pacific Medical Imaging is a Radiology Diagnostic Center located in Signal Hill, CA, we are currently seeking an experienced MRI Technologist excited to work in a fast paced, state of the art, customer service oriented outpatient imaging center to perform magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures to assist in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. Currently seeking full-time, part-time, and per diem positions. CT trained a plus! Equipment: Siemens 1.5 Magnetom Symphony Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepares and positions patients for diagnostic imaging procedures Screens patient and any visitors outside of the magnetic field before exam for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the exam (i.e. Pacemaker, claustrophobia, metallic objects in or on their body) Enters patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, orientation specified, and position of entry into aperture of MRI equipment into computer Explain procedures to alleviate patient anxiety and facilitate patient cooperation Assists radiologist during the administration contrast media Start and Complete exam in RIS Completes forms and maintains records such as logs, and reports of work performed Routinely prepares exam for interpretation by the radiologist Maintains the MR equipment in good working order Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to be flexible and work on multiple projects. The candidate must effectively organize and manage their time accordingly. In addition, this candidate must have a working knowledge applicable to MR scanning technology with specific references to cross sectional anatomy, medical and surgical disease, and scientific principles as applied to MR scanning. High school diploma or equivalent AA/AS or BA/BS preferred Graduation from an accredited training program and/or minimum 3-5 year experience in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) Licensure and/or certification must be ARRT or CRT certified MRI Certification a PLUS!
