Job Title: Histology Supervisor Company: Company Confidential Location: San Diego, CA Description: Job SummaryUnder direction by senior-lead technologists and the Histology supervisor, the incumbent serves as a Histotechnologist in the Histology laboratory. Duties include tissue processing, embedding, paraffin sectioning, H&E staining, Special Staining, and other technical duties as assigned which may include rotation in the Immunoperoxidase Lab. Rotates weekly between workstations within the lab. Work schedule is variable to include rotating Saturdays and holiday coverage as scheduled. Job Title: Histology Supervisor Company: Company Confidential Location: Los Angeles, CA Description: Processes surgical specimens for pathologic diagnosis, tissue fixation, processing, cutting, preparing and staining slides for microscopic examination by the Pathologist. Performs related special staining techniques, including immunohistochemical and enzymehistochemical stains and documents all quality control and preventive maintenance procedures. Performs trouble-shooting of staining processes and instruments. Prepares stock and working reagents and maintains an adequate supply. Performs specimen receiving and processing and answers the telephone and greets guests to the department. Regularly reports all abnormal findings to a senior technologist, the assistant manager and/or Pathologist. Assumes one or more of the following responsibilities: key operator duties, projects, teaching, tech in charge and evaluation of new technology.BS/AS in HT, HT or HTL(ASCP) certified, California Licensed, 3rd shiftCompetitive Base Salary, Full Benefits
