Position Description:Triage patient telephone calls - answer questions, offer medical advice, authorize medications, and appropriately determine problems to be referred to the provider. Perform medical procedures specific to area and training: daily remote and transtelephonic device checks, maintain and regulate coumadin patients. Obtain patient history and perform physical assessment of cardiovascular electrophysiology patients within the clinic and hospital setting. Perform EKGs and provide interpretation. Collaborate with physician to determine treatment and/or discharge plan for patient. Patient and family teaching. Provider support during clinic: room patients, review of systems, device checks, chart prep. Act as a liaison between the provider and outside clinics, hospitals, state agencies, vendors and other health professionals. Maintain patient confidentiality. Keep abreast of developments in speciality practice. Qualifications:Masters or Bachelors Degree in Nursing from Accredited University preferred. Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License. Current CPR and ACLS certification. 2 - 4 years (minimum of 2 years) of cardiac or electrophysiology nursing experience.Strong communication skills, flexibility, moderate computer proficiency and ability to promote positive interpersonal relations.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Neurodiagnostic Technician for our Aurora Medical Center, Summit who is enthusiastic about providing exceptional patient care.Under the direction of the Neurodiagnostics Coordinator, performs a variety of neurodiagnostic procedures to evoke, record and study electrical physiology brain activities for use in diagnosing neurological disorders. Safely performs and maintains competency in the following areas: inpatient and outpatient electroencephalograms (EEGs), portable inpatient EEG’s, ambulatory EEG monitoring; EEG monitoring during intracarotid Sodium Amytal procedures (WADAs); EEG monitoring during carotid endarerectomy procedures; and long term Epilepsy monitoring. The Neurodiagnostic Technician I must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the department's policies and procedures. Age-specific information is developed further in the departmental job standards appropriate to the individual Neurodiagnostic Technician I. General Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. Completion of a six month or longer electroneurodiagnostic technology/training program , OR one year equivalent formal working experience in EEG/Neurodiagnostics. Current CPR certification. Intermediate computer skills including experience in using related software. Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
