OR Technologist - Cardiovascular Surgery Job Details: The Operating Room Technologist is responsible to perform surgical scrub duties for the cardiovascular surgical team. S/he assists with maintenance of the sterile field and physical environment following infection control guidelines. Demonstrates knowledge of the step-by-step progress of specific surgical procedures. Carries out medical/surgical asepsis during treatments/procedures. Utilizes and updates physician preference cards and responds to requests. Utilizes proper medication handling and irrigation mixing techniques and labels appropriately. Is responsible for care of instruments/equipment intraoperative and postoperative phases, including cleaning and processing.
