The Biomed Tech assists in the repair, preventative maintenance, calibration and verification of biomedical equipment. Handles a variety of changing duties resulting from the complexities of electrical apparatus and equipment. Key Responsibilities: · Tests electrical and electronic components to locate shorts, faulty connections and defective parts. Repairs, performs PM and performance verification on biomedical equipment as per the clinical ladder. · Documents activities, orders parts, maintains inventory and technical library. · Receives technical training. · Assists in equipment installation. Requirements: Education: Associate Degree in biomedical equipment technology or equivalent.
